SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence direct flights connecting Sharjah International Airport and Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. Operating four times weekly, this new route enhances the airline’s connectivity between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Already, Air Arabia serves the route from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, which is the main airport for Jordan’s capital. The addition of this second Amman airport option on the Sharjah network broadens the airline’s scheduled links to Jordan and provides more travel choices for passengers.

Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return service, G9 170, will leave Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reach Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Tickets for the route are now available via Air Arabia’s website, call center, and travel agencies.
This new service extends Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan network, which already includes flights from Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, the group operates flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The new Sharjah route will therefore add another UAE departure point to the airline’s Amman City Airport connections, complementing its current Jordan services.
Air Arabia enhances access to two airports in Amman
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, emphasized that the new route offers travelers a second airport option in Jordan’s capital. He highlighted that this will provide greater convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the new Sharjah route on October 8, more than a month before it begins operations in November. This service will operate alongside Air Arabia’s existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport.
Earlier this year, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi also launched its own route to Amman City Airport, which started on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. That service, which also connects to Queen Alia International Airport, offers travelers two options for flying from the UAE capital to Jordan. In April, Air Arabia reported that the two Abu Dhabi routes together provided 10 weekly flights to Amman upon the launch of the second airport service.
Sharjah route will add four weekly flights to Jordan’s capital
The new route uses flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170, operating on a fixed four-day weekly schedule. Air Arabia’s fleet for this route includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, which are part of its broader network. The airline also features services such as SkyTime streaming, SkyCafe onboard dining, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Passengers can reserve tickets for the Amman City Airport flights before the November 15 launch through the airline’s established sales channels.
This expansion strengthens Air Arabia Group’s network in Jordan through services from Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers will benefit from direct flights to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Meanwhile, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi also operates to both airports, and Alexandria offers a direct link to Amman City Airport. The scheduled launch in November will add four weekly flights connecting Sharjah and Jordan’s capital to the group’s regional network.
