SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence direct flights connecting Sharjah and Gdansk starting on Dec. 14, 2026. This new route will link Sharjah International Airport with Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport five times each week, with services scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The addition of this route strengthens UAE’s direct connectivity to northern Poland and broadens Air Arabia’s scheduled network within the country. Reservations for these flights are already available via the airline’s sales platforms.

Flights on Mondays and Saturdays will see G9 0628 depart Sharjah at 4 p.m., arriving in Gdansk at 8 p.m., with the return G9 0629 leaving Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the next day. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departures from Sharjah are scheduled for 8:15 a.m., while return flights from Gdansk will depart at 1:05 p.m. and land in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m. All listed times are local times.
Once operational, Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah, complementing existing routes to Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport. The airline will also introduce four weekly flights to Katowice beginning on Dec. 17, 2026, operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. These expansions will extend Air Arabia’s direct flight network within Poland beyond its current two-city service, offering more options for travelers in the region.
Gdansk joins Air Arabia’s expanding Polish route network
The new Gdansk route is part of Air Arabia’s broader European network from Sharjah, which includes destinations such as Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. Frankfurt and Katowice are also set to be added to this lineup. The Gdansk route offers a new gateway on Poland’s Baltic coast, providing direct scheduled flights connecting travelers in the Pomeranian region with the UAE via Sharjah.
Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali highlighted the significance of Gdansk in the airline’s expanding Polish network. Meanwhile, Gdansk Airport President Tomasz Kloskowski emphasized the importance of the direct Sharjah connection for the Pomeranian area, noting that Sharjah serves as a transfer hub to destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Gdansk Airport, serving the wider Tri-City area—which includes Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot—along with other northern Polish communities, will benefit from the new service.
Sharjah-Gdansk flights will operate five times weekly
Aircraft types used by Air Arabia on this route include Airbus A320 and A321 models. Flight bookings are now open via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies. The schedule designates G9 0628 and G9 0629 for the Monday and Saturday services. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will operate as G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. The five weekly rotations will provide nonstop flights in both directions, connecting the two airports directly.
The launch of Gdansk flights on Dec. 14 will precede the start of the airline’s Katowice route by three days. With existing connections to Krakow and Warsaw from Sharjah, this expansion will bring Air Arabia’s Polish network to a total of four cities. Passengers traveling to and from Gdansk will have five weekly nonstop options each way as per the current schedule. As of Aug. 26, 2026, Air Arabia has confirmed the Dec. 14 launch date and the five-flight weekly schedule for the Sharjah-Gdansk route.
