This framework encompasses security, defense, trade, investment, energy, climate change, technology, digitalization, transportation, environment, culture, and education sectors.
Enhanced strategic dialogue expands bilateral collaboration
Both governments agreed to establish a German-UAE Investment Council aimed at boosting engagement between public and private sectors. They also welcomed the revival of the Joint Economic Committee and the outcomes from a bilateral business forum. The visit resulted in 29 business agreements and memoranda valued at over 9.356 billion euros, as stated in the joint declaration. Furthermore, a UAE investment plan totaling 40 billion euros in Germany was announced.
Economic ties extend into sectors like energy, advanced technology, and digital infrastructure. The joint declaration underscored ongoing and planned projects involving LNG, renewable energy, hydrogen, and energy efficiency measures. It also outlined plans for sophisticated data centers with approximately one gigawatt of capacity. Artificial intelligence and emerging technological fields are also included in the scope of their broad cooperation.
Foreign ministers emphasize diplomacy and regional stability
During their discussions in Berlin, the foreign ministers reviewed regional and global developments.
